English Version

Summary

HTML 2 Figma is a Chrome extension that converts a user-selected web page or page element into content that can be pasted into Figma as editable layers. The extension operates only when the user actively triggers it.

Information We Process
  • HTML structure, visible text, layout, and style information from the page or element the user chooses to capture.
  • Image, background-image, and related asset data needed to produce the editable output.
  • The generated conversion result, which is written to the user's system clipboard so it can be pasted into Figma.
How We Use It
  • To identify the page region or element selected by the user.
  • To read the corresponding page structure, styles, and assets required for conversion.
  • To generate output and copy that output to the clipboard for the user's own use in Figma.
What We Do Not Do
  • We do not require account registration or login.
  • We do not ask for name, email address, phone number, or password.
  • We do not upload captured page content to developer-owned servers for storage or analytics.
  • We do not sell personal data or use captured content for advertising or cross-site tracking.
Third-Party Requests

When the user initiates a conversion, the extension may request third-party image or asset URLs referenced by the selected page in order to process those resources locally and preserve visual fidelity in the generated result.

Storage and Retention

Based on the current implementation, the extension does not maintain a user account system and does not persist captured content on developer-owned servers. Data is processed temporarily in local memory and the resulting output is written to the system clipboard.

Sharing

We do not intentionally share captured page content with third parties. If the user pastes converted content into Figma or another third-party product, the handling of that content after paste is governed by that third party's own terms and privacy policy.

Permissions
  • activeTab / scripting: used to run capture logic on the page the user is actively working with.
  • clipboardWrite: used to copy the generated result to the clipboard.
  • <all_urls>: used so the extension can work on pages across different websites when the user chooses to use it there.
User Choice
  • Users may choose when and whether to run the extension.
  • Users may disable or uninstall the extension at any time in Chrome.
  • Users should avoid converting content they are not authorized to process, including private, personal, or sensitive information.
Children's Privacy

This extension is not directed to children, and the developer does not knowingly collect personal information from children through the extension.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy if the extension's data handling practices materially change. Any update will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
